Using a termianl server to manager multiple switch console ports

We have some old Terminal servers that we would like to try and use to give access to multiple console ports for our switches and router in our computer room.

The problem is that the terminal servers we have all have UTP connectors on the back so can't take standard cosole\rollover cables.

Is it possible to get console\rollover cables that have UTP connectors at either end and also if we got hold of some of these cables would it would with our terminal server are there any pre-requisites to support this?

Thanks

Hi Jon,

Cable pinouts can be found here: http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/dsl_prod/c1400/icg/cables.htm#26010

I suggest you use a 3rd party multiplexer to provide console access to all your cisco devices via a single host. In the past I've used Baytech. They are pretty good.
