Using diagnostics on 3560

Hi guys,

I was looking into the config doc that comes with the 3560 and am interested in implementing the diagnostic checker that you can schedule that checks hardware, circuits, etc. I plan to schedule to run it out of hours on a weekly basis and have it report into my snmp server.

My question is had anyone used this and had any issues with it i.e effecting performance, etc? Im happy to configure it and run it out of hours I just dont want it to consume a lot of resource and dont have a test switch to implement this on beforehand to monitor.

Any advice or guidance would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Darren

The diagnostic checker does not use that much resources so you should not notice much difference in performance. But if you start doing alot of debugging, in some cases this can use more resources.
