Hi,

i have multiple DSL Lines configured to connect through Dialer interface.

When the Connection is up, the Dialer is bound with Virtual Access interface.

what i would like to know, Which Dialer interface is being bound to Virtual Access interface?

for example, Dialer1 is bound to Virtual Access5

for example, Dialer2 is bound to Virtual Access3

for example, Dialer3 is bound to Virtual Access4

why is this? shouldnt Dialer1 bound to Virtual Access 1 and so on?

how do i fix this?

thanks.

Hi,

No the virtual-access interface numbers are sequentially chosen and only reflects which link has came up first, so AFAIK there is no work around for this, but this shouldn't imply any problems.

HTH,

Mohammed Mahmoud.

i might be mistaken, but i have 6 ATMs in mt router (6WICS) and only 3 are working, and the sequence i am getting is 3,4 & 5.

if what you are saying is true, shouldnt the virtual-access be vi1,2 & 3 ?

it's a problem for me, because i am writing an applet and would want to know which virtual interface is tied to which dialer..

thanks
