What are the most common MIB Objects/OIDs used?

Dear Sir.,

I'm trying to install a MRTG to monitoring my cat6500 switch.

I want to know what are the most common MIB OID and where Can I find them?

I tried SNMP OID navigator, but when I use it, sometimes failed.

For example,

1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.217.1.4.1.1 (cc6kxbarSwBusSwitchingStatus)

When I use it, MRTG always error with:

"

Received SNMP response with error code

error status: noSuchName

"

When I use some OIDs such as

"

Oid=CiscoEnvMonTemperatureState

1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.13.1.3.1.6

"

I can successful.

Can somebody tell me why I met such error?

It could be that the software you are running (CatOS or IOS) does not support the MIB you are trying to poll.

I don't think so. I check the OID (1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.217.1.4.1, cc6kxbarSwBusSwitchingStatus) on SNMP OID navigator. And I search 'supporting images', i found my IOS in the list.
