3DES-AES license on ASA 5512-x

Hi,

I am running asa911-smp-k8.bin on ASA 5512-x and have the sec plus license

the 3DES-AES encryption shows disabled in sh ver. How to enable this..Does this require other image or we can get a free upgrade lic for this

Hi Raj,

Please see the link below :

and visit section FREE 3DES/AES license. Go to the that link, follow the steps and get the activation key. Once you have the new activation key, put it in ASA and it should be enabled.

{config)# activation-key xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxxx

i already tried the free section but the page gives an error after accepting the lic agreement

Hi Raj,

I see many users facing this problem. Please contact cisco TAC and they shall get you the activation key. Sorry to be of no further help. Just send the above error, serial number and request for 3des/aes license. You should get an email from them with your activation key.
