6509 Switch& FWSM&firewall vlan-group

Hi all,

We create new VLANs & will assign these VLANs to the Firewall Services Module

By using the below command:-

(Config)# Firewall vlan-group firewall_group vlan_range

My question is there any need to restart the FWSM after adding new vlan into vlan group??

Hi

No you don't have to reboot anything. Just make sure if you are running a pair in separate chassis that you update both firewall vlan-group entries on both 6500's because if they become out of sync then failover will not work.
