ADSM Access on Cisco ASA 5505

Can anyone assist with getting a Cisco ASA 5505 device setup to allow access to the ADSM interface?

I'm new at the firewall and ASA devices and would greatly appreciate your assistance.  The web browser

says there is a problem with the web sites security certificate, and after clicking on "more information" it

reports the website can't be found.  I am using Internet Explorer.  I'm attache=ing the "show run" and

screen shot of the web error.

Thanks for you help.

Hi

Do you have the asdm file in your disk0? Coud you paste a screenshot?

I see that you're using a very old ASDM version (5.2). With your ASA version (8.0.2) you need to use ASDM 6.0(2) minimum; take a look here:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/asa/compatibility/asamatrx.html#pgfId-121785

To download the new ASDM file, go to https://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=280582808&flowid=4377&softwareid=280775064&release=7.6.1&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=&reltype=latest

The config looks correct as you have all commands needed:

1. asdm image disk0......

2. http server enable

3. http x.x.x.x x.x.x.x inside/outside

Thanks

I'm not that familiar with what disk0 is.  I'm going thru the Cisco CCNA Security Book 640-554, and the authors haven't said anything about disk0.  I've been following along with the book and got into trouble on page 345, where I had to stop.  Is there any way to gt this file?  Cisco is asking for a service contract. I bought the device to learn the ropes of the ASA devices so I can support them.

I hope I don't have to purchase a service contract.

Thanks for your assistance.

Your files are stored on flash (for instance, my ASA has a disk0 and a disk1).  You have to tell the ASA where the ASDM files are located.  For example, my running-config says:

asdm image disk0:/asdm-761.bin

Procopius1980,  I'll check on it and report back.

Thanks Much!

Vince

Yes you can try to access your flash by issuing dir disk0:

normally asdm is there if it has been copied.

To download, yes you need a cco with service contract associated.

You can try to search on google if you're able to download anywhere else.

Thanks
