After sandby firewall became active mode ASDM is not working

i 've configured active standby using cisco asa 5525 . The primary firewall was some hardware issue so the secondary firewall became active mode ,all working fine .
The probelm is when the secondary firewall is an active mode , asdm is not working but ssh is accessable .
Note : both firewall have same asdm7.4 images .

Please help . Thanks in advance .

Hi there. A couple of questions:

1. What exactly happens when you try to open ASDM?

2. Can you HTTPs to the unit

3. Have you tried to re-upload the ASDM image to the standby unit

Hi,

If you have the "Unable to launch device manager from ...", please do the following:

# show asp table socket     ==> to see if the ssl is in the LISTEN state

# logging monitor 7

# terminal monitor

and see if your ASA and your machine use the correct ssl encryption

N.B: you can configure the correct ssl encryption with the following command (in this example, I configured ASA to use aes-128 or aes256-sha1 because one of others will be suggested by the machine):

# ssl encryption aes128-sha1 aes256-sha1
