Hi,
Ports mentioned online seem to include TCP/80 , TCP/443, TCP/5222 , TCP/5223 and TCP/5228
I would suggest testing this on a single device and checking logs through ASDM.
Perhaps even taking a capture of the clients traffic at the firewall might help a bit.
Isnt this a mobile device application? I have not used it myself.

Hi jouni,
It is a mobile application that works on android, mac and symbian. the application port and address keeps changing with every user session. however, I will complete the tests and get back to you with the result.
Thanks,

Hi Elie,
Did Cisco ever get back to you on this? I am having the same issue with my ASA allowing the TCP/UDP traffic throught. I don't want to just open up high ports.

Agree with Jouni,
Due to the nature of this applications the best way to see this would be with a capture,
Let us know as soon as you have it

Hi there,
To find the destination IP and port of the latest version of WhatsApp, you can try using a packet capture tool like Wireshark. You can capture the network traffic on your device while using Latest NA WhatsApp and filter the results to find the IP and port used by the application. You can also try searching online for information on the specific IP and port numbers used by WhatsApp.
Hope this helps!
