Hello,

My base design is with 3 routers. RouterA will be internet access for RouterB and RouterC. There are will be T1 between RouterA and RouterB and a T1 between RouterA and RouterC. I would like to know if I can replace RouterA with an ASA 5500 firewall? If so what connections do I need from my demarc?

Sincerely,

Michael

Michael-

The ASA can not terminate T1's (or any other serial connections), so you will still need your routers. The ASA only supports Ethernet interfaces. If your looking for firewall services you could purchase the Advanced Security IOS for the router(s).
