Why when I try to reset Cisco ASA 5505 by pressing the button behind the hardware nothing happen? Just via software I can reset it?
I bought the hardware an year ago and I've never used, the problem that I don't have the blue cable and via software connecting to PC doesn't work.
Thanks.

I am afraid there doesn't seem to be any other way, if you do not have the console cable or teh ASDM software.

I Installed the ASDM software but it doesn't communicate with Cisco ASA 5505, I tryed to setup the PC network adapter:
IP: 192.168.1.10
Mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.1.1
I connected a RJ45 cable to ASA 5505 Port 1 to PC, but when I try to ping 192.168.1.1 it doesn't respond.
Is the procedure above correct?
Tks

Michael I tryed to enable DHCP before setup the IP address, but it didn't receive any IP address from ASA 5505 because it's not findind the 5505.
