ASA 5505 memory upgrade

Hi there ... I need to upgrade two ASA 5505 to version 8.4, for which I bought memory kits to take them to 512K

The strange thing is neither of them take the memory. One get all light flashing right after booting, and the other one gets into a booting cycle. I have 2 memory kits, and both produce same result. I even RMA'd one of them, and same thing with the new one received.

I've noticed one says it's ASA 5505 V2, while the other one says ASA 5505 V04

Is there any hardware restriction to upgrade to 512MB on ASA 5505? Any tool to check with serial number if they can be upgraded or not?

There should not be any restriction as to which hardware minor revision you have. The 5505 memory upgrade kit is supposed to work with any ASA 5505.

What kind of output is displayed on console while the booting cycle is ongoing?
