ASA 5505 RealVNC

jill.kane
Level 1
Level 1

I am trying to enable access to use RealVNC on our Cisco ASA 5505 without using VPN. RealVNC uses port 5900. Users should be able to vnc to 99.23.119.78 and reach our internal server 192.168.1.4. So far they are receiving connection refused.

What am I missing???

Here are my current running configs:

I just tested the connection using my VNC to your public IP and it worked.

I opened my VNC and typed 99.23.119.78:5510

That opened the connection on port TCP 5510.

Things are fine now.

The configuration looks fine. Internally are you able to VNC to 192.168.1.4 ?

Is the default gateway of you server the ASA?

The default gateway of the server running VNC is 192.168.1.1, which is the inside ip of the ASA firewall.

I realized that the port was setup to accept connections on port 5510 and serve Java viewer on port 5511, so I had to modify the Cisco configurations, but it still appears that the ports are not open. VNC does work internally to the local ip. I am trying to verify the port is open externally by going to http://www.canyouseeme.org/.

What am I missing? Thanks for your help!!!

Here are the updated configs:

Nevermind, I think I got it... thanks for your help! It was just a typo in the change with the configuration
