ASA 5508-X DRAM

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knows the DRAM specs for the ASA 5508-X firewall. I'm getting a solid amber light under the status light and I am suspecting a RAM issue. 

I made the mistake to not have an active service contract, and I'm currently in the process of getting one... but I wanted to swap this RAM out in the meantime!

As per i know, the RAM is 8GB and Flash Memory 8GB for the model you mentioned.

Thats correct - I'm trying to find what replacement RAM I can use besides Cisco's proprietary RAM.

What version of DDR, speeds, etc. is what I am looking for.

i would suggest replacing cisco one, but again the risk is yours if you have the kit open and see what speed, any way you going to open to replace the RAM.

The firewall is currently in production (with those intermittent failures of course) - and I didn't want to open the device up to check the RAM. I was hoping to purchase RAM during business hours so I could quickly replace it after business hours.
