ASA 5510 move Licence

Hi,

I have a defected asa 5510 that I bought used with a security plus license. Can I move the licence to a another 5510?

Hi

Licenses on asa are tied to the device and you can't move them from 1 device to another.

Cisco would have done it only if it was a rma through a standard process but here you have very old devices so unfortunately you won't be able to move them with Cisco help either.

is there a possibility to update the asa somehow to the last available firmware? Unfortunately, I don't really find anything

You can only update with a current support contract and your device is past the end of support date by several years.

FYI the last available image for a 5510 was 9.1(7)32 from 2018.
