Hi
We have a pair of ASA 5516-X firewalls in the DC. In 2021 we did not renew the support contract as we were migrating services off the firewalls. However there is VPN still on the firewalls that we cannot move due to 3rd party constraints so are looking to get the firewalls under a support contract again.
Do you think we can just go a purchase a new support contract, the eol details give a date for service contract renewal but nothing about a new support contract.
We currently do not have any other support contracts with Cisco, however we have acquired another company that does, so we have the option to add this under their contract if possible.
Im just trying to fish out what my next options are before making any move, hoping someone here can help.
Thankyou

Please reference the "End of new service attachment date" - August 2 2022.

I suggest contacting your local Cisco partner and have them check this for you. If you are able to get a new contract then they can help with this right away and get it sorted. You would save a lot of time this way. Do this ASAP.
