Hi,
Based on the data sheet and the config guide, the Cisco ASA 5500 series supports multiple VLANs. I can only assume that it also support 802.1Q trunk to carry multiple VLANs across the same physical link.
What I'm wondering is whether the appliance also participates in Spanning Tree topology?

I havent worked on the 5500. But, if you want to see if STP is running on the box, do a "show spanning-tree".

Problem is, I'm only a designer. The implementers have the box. I guess I'll have to ask the implementer to check it out.
