Hello all,
I have a ASA 5585x with SSP-IPS10.
it is currently running ASA 9.1(7)25 and IPS 7.1 , Now we want to upgrade ASA to 9.4(4) but I have a question .
is there software compatibility between ips and asa ?
should I need to upgrade the IPS ?

The two software releases are independent of each other, as such the SSP has been supported on every release of ASA-OS.
ASA and ASDM software versions are much more tightly coupled.
cheers,
Seb.
