ASA Active/Standby Multi-site

I have 2 sites. HQ and Colo. I want to deploy BGP at both sites and announce the same IPV4 space and AS number at both sites. Behind the BGP routers I want to put one ASA at each site and run them as active/standby. I have a layer 2 connection between HQ and the colo. IS there any reason why this would not work?

Hi,

If you deploy ASA pair in Active/standby, how the failover between sites work  in case if you have ISP failure at HQ? The router recognises the failure but primary ASA may not and standby unit may not be able to takeover. Also, even if you are able to achieve this somehow by 'tracking', when HQ internet recovers, you need to manually failover back to HQ ASA.
