ASA AUTO BACKUP TO SMB

Has anyone set up auto back up on ASA firewall to SMB? I can't find useful directions on doing so. Any help will be appreciated.

@Knassi not sure what your intention is here. You mean failover connection to an SMB firewall? Please provide more information.

The intention is to automatically send configuration backup to SMB. Instead of doing it manually, i will set up a schedule like once a week at midnight.

@Knassi run an EEM script on the ASA to backup the configuration using the syntax:

event manager applet BACKUP
 event timer absolute time 00:12:00 << run every 12 everyhours
 action 0 cli command "copy [/noconfirm] [interface_name] {startup-config | running-config}  smb://[user[:password]@]server[/path]/dst_filename"
 output none

I've not tested this, but play around to suit your needs.
