If I upgrade ASA code (from 8.3.2 to 8.4.1) on the primary 5540, will the secondary 5540 code automatically be upgraded? If so, is it through the failover link?

you have to upgrade both units manually.

What if I go through the CSM Auto Update Server (4.0.1) to upgrade the softerware? Since the CSM doesn't know about the standby failover unit, would AUS even play a part in upgrading the standy unit?

Do you know if Cisco has any future plans to allow for upgrading both failover units through the primary?

I don't have that much experience with CSM but I assume it should upgrade both units individually.

I don't know if Cisco has plans on adding that possibility. It would be great to upgrade one and automatically upgrade the secondary unit.
