Hello,
I have 2 ASAs (5512-x running 8.6) connected by a VPN that I am attempting to migrate to use OSPF instead of the existing static routes. I already have OSPF working over the VPN.
I figured that when I am ready to activate the OSPF routes I would simply delete the statics and the OSPFs would get inserted into the routing table and I'd be in business with no downtime. However when I delete a static the OSPF route doesn't appear until I issue a 'clear ospf 1 process'. Is this normal?
For a specific example, I have a static route to 192.168.75.0/24 via inside interface. When I delete this route it is removed from the routing table, but the OSPF route to 192.168.75.0/24 via outside isn't inserted until I issue 'clear ospf 1 process'. Can anyone explain this or suggest a no downtime workaround?
Thanks.

Wrong forum, post in "security - ASA". You can move your post using the actions panel on the right.

Hello K.moyers,
Definetly not expected at all,
Can you check the OSPF database while the static routes are set?
Check my blog at http:laguiadelnetworking.com for further information.
