ASA5505 Upgrade from K8 to K9

Hi,

We have cisco asa 5505 series ulbunk8 and can you please tell me if it is possible to upgrade it to k9???

If yes could you please tell me what steps should be taken.

K9 simply means that your asa has strong encryption on it, you can verify this by checking the output of show version comman. If you have 3DES/AES enabled, it means your ASA is K9, if not you can get 3DES/AES activation key from Cisco. Here is a link on how to obtain 3DES/AES key and also how to activate it on the ASA, don't forget to save your current activation key in case things don't go well.
