Hi All,
My customer thought they had brought a Cisco ASA5512-SSD-K9 HA but didn’t realise they had to buy a HA licence, It wasn’t very clear on the Cisco website
Is it the case that they have to buy a HA licence?
Please can you confirm the licence ASA5512-SEC-PL= is the correct license
Is it one licence per controller or would 1 licence cover 2 ASA's?
Many Thanks
Billy

Neno is correct.
Also, you do need to add the license to both ASA appliances - i.e. you need to buy two licenses, one for each physical appliance.

Hi Billy-
Yes, the customer needs the security plus license to have HA. The ASA5512-SEC-PL is the correct "part number"

Very good point Marvin! (+5 from me). I totally forgot to mention that and it is very important as both units do need to be licensed!
