Hi all,
This may be a silly question but is it possible to downgrade ASA5585-S10-K9 to a K8 version
Many Thanks

Hi Billy,
It may be confusing at the beginning but all ASA images are -K8, there are no K9 images. The -k8 ships with a DES license and you can get to -K9 by ordering a 3DES/AES license.
-k8 customers can download a free 3DES license from http://www.cisco.com/go/license
So as you may see the difference is because of the encryption they are using. There is no way to remove 3des once it has been activated, unless you had an older activation-key which does not include 3des/aes encryption.
What is the reason you want to do this?

Hi Billy,
There should not be any problem, as it only refers if the ASA has enabled 3des/aes encryption or not.
