ASA5585-SSP-IPS20 Stuck in Unresponsive mode

Need some help, I have an ASA5585-SSP-IPS20 module that I can't get to be Up/Up.  I've tried resetting the blade a few times and also rebooted the firewall - but no luck:

                slot 1: ASA5585-SSP-IPS20 hw/sw rev (2.0/) status (Unresponsive/Up)

Any suggestions on what to try next?

Re-seat it [it's hot-swapable].

Can also try to blow the backblane of the module using compressed air....or lungs.

If that doesn't work, re-image it [custom config will be lost]

hi jocamare - we have also a set of asa5585'rs with these ips modules - and here we among other ports have a set of 10G ports which are in use - if we ever need re-seat these we would get some problems. What about the all the ports there when the ips module reboots - will they be un-affected or what?

best regards ti

It will be necessary to re-seat/reimage only the affected module, not all of them.

As you might know, these are "independent" units, if take one down the rest of the modules will remain up.

If the IPS module goes down only the directly connected ports will be affected, the rest of the unit and the other modules will remain the same.
