ASAv IPv6 neighbor table

Hi All,

I am trying an ASAv deployment with IPv6.

Topology has ASAv in routed mode and IPv6 VMs behind both inside and outside interfaces.

Ping from outside VM to inside VM is successful and observe that the ipv6 neighbor table is populated rightly.

Even after the ping traffic is completely stopped, the entries in the table are not getting removed until 600mins.

How to reduce this ageout?

Hi Manikanta,

please configure ipv6 nd reachable-time on ASAv interfaces.

i.e.

ciscoasa(config)# interface gigabitethernet 0/0

ciscoasa config-if)# ipv6 nd reachable-time 1700000

Note that the value is in msec.
