Solved: ASAv with firepower services

Hello, we have Cisco virtual ASA deployed in Vmware ESXi, and it doesn`t support TLS 1.2 only support TLS 1.0.

We need to upgrade it to new ASAv. So before ordering the new ASAv we want to also order firepower services for ASAv.

Does someone know about that? does ASAv support firepower services? We want firepower for application visibility and control.

We need also licensing information.

If you have support you're entitled to simply upgrade your ASAv in place. I had a customer do that to get the DTLS 1.2 support for their remote access VPN and we saw a significant performance increase.

As noted in the other replies, there is not now (nor will there be) Firepower services support on an ASAv. You can use FTDv if you require that functionality.

Hi,

I don't believe you can run ASAv with Firepower Services, regardless it's not being developed any further, FTD is the future. You'd be better of running FTDv which would support AVC.

Firepower Services support Physical ASA only, suggest to looking FTD future of cisco. ( ASA will fade soon).
