Hi,
I am trying to do an upgrade to our ASA5512-X.
I was using ASA 9.3(1) and ASDM7.3(1) without problem.
I uploaded ASA9.9(2) and ASDM 7.9(2) to the ASA5512-x through ASDM and reload the device successfully.
When I tried to launch old ASDM a window popup saying A newer version of ASDM-IDM launcher was available and prompted to upgrade. Clicking "Upgarde Now" a installation windows popup saying it would install ASDM-IDM Launcher v 1.8(0) on my computer. It then showed the installation location of "C:\Program Files\Cisco Systems\ASDM\" and clicking install showed the installation progressed quite normally. But at the end an error popped up "Windows Script Host: Can not find script file "C:\Program Files\Cisco Systems\ASDM\invisible.vbs"".
I then used a browser to connect to ASA5512-x. It connected ok and tried to install ASDM from there. It downloaded dm-launcher.msi and jxpiinstall.exe. Running jxpiinstall upgraded Java to jre1.8.0_171 but running dm-launcher.msi does not add or change anything to "C:\program Files\Cisco System\ASDM\" folder.
I tried change to different folders like C:\temp and still dm-launcher.msi add or change NOTHING.
I tried this on two different computers, one W7 32 bit and one W7 64bit, and received the same results.
What I did wrong please?
