Hi,
I am having trouble trying to log into my ASA 5505 using ASDM-IDM. When I try to login I get the error message "Unable to launch device manager". When I look in the Java console I see a few of these messages:
Application Logging Started at Wed Jan 31 10:28:19 CET 2018
---------------------------------------------
Local Launcher Version = 1.8.0
Local Launcher Version Display = 1.8(0)
OK button clicked
Trying for ASDM Version file; url = https://10.0.0.1/admin/
No version file found
Trying for IDM. url=https://10.0.0.1/idm/idm.jnlp/
Not IDM.
The ASA worked fine before i upgraded the ASA and the ASM to the newest current updates (as recommended). It seems that the ASA works fine, as all services run well. Only problem is that i cannot login in.
Installed upgrades: ASA 9.1.7 21 k8 & ASDM 7.9.1
Any ideas?

Did you check if the ASDM version is supported by the ASA version you are curently running ?
You could try to reinstall the asdm on the ASA via CLI.
You can also try to add the ASA IP to the Java trusted hosts and the ASA certificate to the Java secure servers list.

You can also paste show version here just to verify that the asdm is active.
