I have an issue, I am assuming with Java, where the asdm is taking forever to load. Then when it does load I can't do anything because it takes so long to load. The issue only occurs if I am connecting to the ASDM over any port other than 443. I know it's not an issue with the firewall because I can access the ASDM normally without any delays on other pc's. It's just my local pc that is having problems. It all started when I removed java 6 update 38 from my pc so that I was only running java 6 update 7. Has anyone else had this issue before and found a solution? It's got to be a java setting, but I have no idea what it is. Thanks!

Try clearing your Java cache (via Control Panel > Java > Temporary Internet Files) and then re-launch ASDM.

It was an immediate improvement in the speed in which ASDM opened, thanks Marvin. I think it was also contributing to bogging down my laptop while ASDM was on. I will give it a day or two to make sure.

I did it and still same issue.
We have ASA 5555 with 9.12.4.67 and with ASDM Version 7.18(1.152). When log in with credentials banner pop up takes a lot of time like 5-10 minutes after entering credentials to accept it. And then overall loading also takes a lot of change like 20 minutes.
