bypass mode is not working

Hello Team,

We have a problem right now, we are trying to upgrade our firesight and firepower suddenly bypass mode is not working, all our network connection went down for about 5mins. after the firepower up  then our connection back to normal. What would be the reason of bypass mode is not working?

What mode the firepower device was ?

How did you put the device in Bypass? (What commands you executed?)

Based on above information,we would be able to find out something.

bypass mode is not working. We are in the midst of upgrading the SF and FP then suddenly our network went down even if we set our inline pair to bypass mode.

Hi John,

I think you can go check feature of SFR in ASA.
As I remember there are 2 features SFR-Close and SFR-OPEN.

SFR fail-Close meant when your SFR module down. Traffic willl drop.
SFR fail-Open meant when your SFR module down. Traffic will forward without scan.
