Can i purchase and use a Cisco license in US for the ASA purchased in India?

Hi Support,

We have a Cisco ASA 5520 with CSC-SSM-10 module. We are looking to purchase a license ASA-CSC10-USR-100= to upgrade the users to 100.

This ASA was purchased and used in India. Since Cisco license delivery is more than 6 weeks in India, can we purchase this license through online portals in US and use for the device in India? Please do the needful.

I think this is more like a sales question than technical. I think there is no restricion about this, but I can imagine they will request you to purchase it under the same contract or same company.

Hello Manjunath,

License is bound to the serial number of the device. While purchasing license, please make sure you are sharing the correct serial number. Physical location or country of sale should not matter.
