can i still use the security plus license when i downgrade the ios version?

hi,

i have an asa 5505 with the security plus ios version, and i want to downgrade the ios from 8.3 to 8.2 or 8.0, but i do not know is the security plus license will still can be used. and is there any things i need to do (like reregister the cisco.com to apply new active-key)?

Hi Yu,

Licenses are always Serial Number specific, they are never IOS specific. So even if you upgrade or downgrade the software version, you would always have the security plus license on it.
