Hi
One of our custmoer is having ASA5520 up and running. Now he is palnning to buy the one moer ASA5520 and configure in Active/Active mode.
Since ASA5520 is EOL, we are planning to suggest ASA5525. My question is will ASA5520 & ASA5525 can be configured as
Active/Active mode?
Thanks & Regards

Hi,
For Failover to work the hardware/software should be identical. So you cant pair ASA5520 and ASA5525-X
Here is the section from the ASA Configuration Guide explaining the requirements for a Failover pair

Not only should they be the same model, they MUST be.
If you try to configure failover between dissimilar models, the HA pair will fail to establish a failover cluster.
Also note that Active-Active is only achievable for multiple context setups. Single context (and any given context in a multi-context setup) can only be Active-Standby.
