Cannot access ASA services module

I have two 6513-E switches that I have enabled VSS on to make one logical switch.

These switches have ASA service modules in slot 9, and they show up when I do a "show mod"

When I try to get into the module by issuing the command

session switch 1 slot 9 proc 1

it tries to contact 127.0.0.91

and then times out.

Is there something I am doing wrong?

That is the correct command. You might also try "service-module switch 1 slot 9"

Does "show module" indicate the module status is OK?

Could there perhaps be stale connections that are using up the available console sessions? "show users" (from the switch cli) will show any active (or inactive) connections.

Hi colin,

have you assign VLAN to slot 9 or ASASM.??

if not you will have to assign VLAN to ASASM to access the firewall as ASASM doesnt have any physical interface.
