I had ASDM working on the management interface and then I changed the IP address. When I did that I can not get into anymore. I have "http server enable" and "http x.x.x.x x.x.x.x management". I can ping the interface so I know I can get to it. I even redid the key but still can not get in. Anyone have any ideas?

So are you able to access the ASDM now?

I would suggest to you to remove the http commands and put them back.
then try again.
If it still doesn't work do "debug http" and check what the ASA spits out for http as you try to ASDM to it.
I hope it helps.

Thanks for replying....
I tried both but no luck. Debugging did not generate any output. Still trying to figure it out.

Something is denying the traffic.
Any logs that show your client trying to connect or being denied?
Can you try changing the http port "http server enable 444" and connect to it and see if that makes a difference? Just as a test...

I found something interesting. I enable syslog and this is the error I got
Routing failed to locate next hop for TCP from MANAGEMENT:X.X.12.9/443 to MANAGEMENT:X.X.10.5/1618
Routing failed to locate next hop for TCP from MANAGEMENT:X.X.12.9/443 to MANAGEMENT:X.X.10.5/1619
It is some kind of routing problem....

Are you trying to access the management IP address from inside hosts? Are you sharing a layer 3 switch for both management and inside network? If that is the case, I guess you could be facing some sort of assymetric routing issue. Try accessing the inside interface IP instead of Management IP and see if that helps.

Thanks for replying to my post.
That go me in! My goal is to access the ASA via the management interface. Right now it is in a lab environment while I configure it.
Thanks again.
