Change Application name

An application/port is being identified BitTorrent but in this environment it is not. How do I make/edit the name?

Hi

If you are sure that the application is indeed not torrent, I would suggest to open a TAC case for this. The reason is the application name is decided based on VDB updates and based on application signatures which cannot be changed.

It means that the device is detecting the traffic with wrong application. You can take captures on firepower and analyze that to make it really doesn't have anything related to torrent.

Can this be done with an application detector? To detect the app as something custom?

Hi,

No, it is not possible to detect the app as something custom but you can check whether you have any custom app detectors which are enabled and also turn them off to check if it is the same behavior.
