Change PIX domain name

We are in the process of migrating to AD and the domain name is going to be different then what is on our Pix501 and 506 from remote offices. Is changing the domain as simple as changing it in the config or is there more to it that I should be aware of. Currently computers in these remote offices append domainname.com to there names but this will need to change to domainname.local. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Changing the domain name could cause a problem if you are using digital certificates. You will need to get new certificates after you change you domain name. Another place where the domain name makes a difference is in Easy VPN confguration.
