I am testing a Cisco ASA 1010 Nex-Gen firewall, and noticed 2 things regarding manageability. One, it doesn't appear as though it can be managed by the ASDM. Two, the CLI looks to be overhauled to a newer version.
My question is, does the "non" Next-Gen version of this ASA have the ability to be managed by the ASDM, and is the CLI the "old" version?....or is it the same as the Next-Gen version?

@mcwhinney the Firepower 1010 hardware can run either the ASA (non gen) software image or the FTD (NGFW) software image. You can select which software image when you deploy the device.
ASA software image can be managed locally using ASDM/CLI or centrally in the cloud using CDO.
FTD software image can be managed locally using FDM, on-premise centrally using FMC or in the cloud using CDO/cdFMC. The vast majority of FTD configuration must be done using a GUI (FDM, FMC, CDO, cdFMC), there is very little that can be configured using the CLI.
