Cisco ASA 5506-X with FirePOWER Services

Hi, 

I am interested weather cisco FIRESIGHT is a must to manage FirePower services on ASA 5506-x ? If not, do you get same functionality and same GUI locally on ASA ?

Also, I am interested if Firepower supports BANDWIDTH CONTROL.

I could not find this information anywhere :(

Hi Giorgi,

The ASA5506-x has on-box management for managing FirePOWER services. You can configure and monitor FirePOWER functionality using the ASDM.

As already mentioned by Rishabh, you don't need Firesight for the 5506-X. But if you have spare ressources on a VSphere-Host, you should think about using the FireSIGHT MC to manage FirePOWER on the ASA. There is much more flexibility in Monitoring then with the ASDM.
