Cisco ASA 5508 with sfr module - Qos Voice traffic

Hello Experts,

@Marvin Rhoads  @Rob Ingram  @balaji.bandi

I have Cisco ASA 5508 with sfr connected with cisco 2960. Currently outside interface is consuming 50% bandwidth and we are having MS teams call issues occasionally.

I tried implement QoS for teams on End Computer by following this link and waiting to see any difference.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/qos-in-teams

I have some Questions;

Does, Cisco ASA and 2960 have some Auto QoS once they recieved ef tagged traffic from computers itself and they will automatically priortize it? In the end I want to priortize any sort of Voice traffic regardless of teams or webex or zoom.

Should I Byepass the teams traffic from sfr module, does that will make difference ?

Should I create new class and service policy to priortize ef tagged traffic ?

what should be the best way to handle this? Is there any other options to make sure ASA is not playing any part in this issue.

Thanks,

LJ

MS always suggests do not to inspect any voice traffic. so it has to bypass all that what best you get the outcome ( why MS can answer this) - personally there is no suggestion come from them. if you like teams to work follow MS recommendations.

If you have enough bandwidth send them directly with inspection and see any difference.
