Cisco ASA 5525-x IPS Module

Hi,

I have ASA 5525-x and i wanted to use the IPS Software module (Which

i never used it before). Can you please help me to configure the IPS Module.

That module is very old, long past end of life and not even referenced in any Cisco certification training anymore.

I recommend not wasting your time doing anything with it. Even if you get it to work, it would provide very minimal protection against any modern network threats.

Hi,

   As @Marvin Rhoads was saying, unless you have to deploy this in a live running network, there is no reason to learn/practice an obsolete technology, which has no value on the market, unless, as stated, you have customers where you have to deploy it.
