Cisco ASA 5540 can be upgraded to 9.4?

Hi everyone,

I have Cisco ASAs 5540 running asa917-29-k8.bin

Can they be upgraded to 9.4?

ASA 5540  end of support - 2018-09-30

its been 2 years worked on OLD ASA 55XX series, as per i know it go maximum up to 9.1.7.X

Hi @PiEich00 

No, there doesn't look like there is a download for a ASA 5540 image. Unless your cisco partner can provide you the firmware image, you won't be able to upgrade. The ASA 5540 is EOL, you should probably consider upgrading to newer hardware such as the FPR 1000 series.
