Hello,
Does anyone know if the ASA strong encryption license for FPR 1K are free and how to order those?
Should I create a case with Cisco License and request one to my smart account from there?
I have not been using ASA since it was PAK licenses and at that time I remember you could just request a license key for free.
Thanks

@Chess Norris yes it's free, just login to the cisco smart licensing portal to request the license - example.

Hello @Rob Ingram
I did register the ASA with our smart licensing portal and the strong encryption started to work after that.
However, when issuing the "show license all" command, the ASA shows out of compliance and in the smart licensing portal I can see that we are one strong encryption licens short.

That will sync at some point, so don't worry about it

Got the same issue. Opened a case and supplied info that this is a free license with the K9 products. Got this:
"Yes, I understand. You are correct with the information you are sharing with me. However, you still have to “purchase” it. This meaning, you purchase it for zero dollars but you still get a sales order that you present to the licensing department to be able to add the license in your account. Hopefully this makes sense."
"makes sense"? No, I don't think it does.

Took me forever to actually get the licenses, Actually my last three experiences with Cisco, Smart Net and the Licensing have been so horrible drawn out and convoluted that it has pushed me to the point that I will avoid Cisco products if at all possible in the future.
