Hello All,

I would like to know if it is possible to add a device license on Virtual FMC.

Currently we have already 25 devices and we would like to increase again to 50 devices.

Thanks

Hi,

FMCv (now called Cisco Secure Firewall Management Center) can manage 2, 10 or 25 devices. Recently, since version 6.5 FMCv 300 was introduced, that can manage up to 300 devices. However, its VM requirements are very different from standard FMCv (all other models requires same HW resources), so simple license add won't work here. You can find more data in datasheet, where you can also see it's capacity possibilities.

You'll need to do this migration with FMC model migration (you can find reference here).

BR,

Milos

You can add Licenses as per i know, but does the VM resource capable of handling so many FTD devices. (mainly Logs).

since you have opportunity why not build another VM, so you have redundancy, rather rely on only one FMC .
