CiscoWorks 2.2 VS. CiscoWorks 2.5

We have Cisco Works 2.2 and it's running very well. We are trying to move to ver 2.2 and it has a lot of bugs and a lot of stuff weren't working properly. Does any one in here using Cisco Works 2.5 with no problems at all? I feel like Cisco deployed this software and made us guinea pigs to find bugs for them.

"Does any one in here using Cisco Works 2.5 with no problems at all?" - Have been running 2.5 for several months with varying degrees of success, in it's vanilla state it's basically unusable in a working environment. After all patches have been applied there are significant improvements, still some annoying bugs though. Would recommend running in a lab env for several weeks until your satisfied before deploying.

There is one diffrence: 2.2 works. 2.5 does not.

I have LMS 2.5 sice 2 months and after initial instalation (upgrade path) none of part worked properly and some did not work at all.

Now, after SP2 I do not believe the data in the system too.

Due to ongoing problems with CW2K LMS 2.5, I am fearful to recommend to not use LMS 2.5 for the moment.

If you 2.2 version worked properly: stay whit this version! We upgraded to LMS 2.5 and we had to downgrade to the 2.2 usefull version.

We had LMS 2.5. on test environment but the server we were using for testing was on a VMWare and it didn't like it at all. We decided to push it to production for it's only 2 of us have access to this and it would be a hustle for us to fix the test server then when we are ready to deploy it, we have to do the same patches and fixes for the new one. I guess we are not the only ones out there that is using the BETA Version of LMS 2.5. I hope next time they deploy a very expensive application, put it out as a real beta and not deploy it and make us end paying users to be beta testers.
