Configuration of Pix 501

I have changed internet provider and I need to change the config on my Cisco Pix 501.

I have tried using the console cable (connected to Console port in PIX 501 and connected to network port (I do not have a serial port) thru COM PORT3 on my PC) together with Tera Term and also PUTTY.

In both applications I get a blank black screen after i connect.

Is there anything else I could try?

You need to get a USB-serial adapter cable.

I've used the same Trendnet one for years. $10.99 on Amazon and it's not let me down.
