Dear Community,
I would have a short question to you. I'm trying to replace our old router with a new Cisco ASA 5508-X (for direct internet connection). The authentication against Internet Service Provider ("Deutsche Telekom" / "German Telekom") supports PPPoE. But unfortunately it is required to use a VLAN-7-Tag during PPPoE authentication.
Do you know how to setup this? Can I just use "7" as VLAN-ID for the "outside"-subinterface?
Best regards

Hello,
If you configure a vlan id under a subinterface, that vlan id should be used for communication across that subinterface. So, for your purpose, configure vlan id 7 under the subinterface and it should do the trick.

Hello,
Thanks for your reply. Is that correct that there is no possibility to use VPN together with PPPoE (Since we do not have a static ip-address)?

Yes, we can have a VPN connection with dynamic ip (dhcp or pppoe):
