We have a new DSL provider in one of our remote hospital clinics. The old DSL provider had us configure our Pix using PPOE. The new provider does not use PPOE.
I just wanted to know if someone could please let me know how to configure our Pix to work with the new DSL connection. I know it will be giving our Pix a DHCP address and I know what that is and the gateway.
Thank you,
Thomas

Hi Thomas,
For the PIX to get a DHCP address, you just need the following:
ip address outside dhcp setroute
You will also need access-lists on the interfaces permiting traffic as you want, NAT for traffic coming in or going out and of course, a static IP assigned to the inside interface. Both in and out interfaces must have names and security levels. Please let me know if you need any assistance with configuring those.
Hope this helps!

Anu
